Description
Straw-gold colour, medium intensity, big tears. Clean nose, oakey, hints of spice and tropical fruit (pineapple, banana). Dry on the palate, medium-full bodied, medium acidity. Oaky characteristics coming through again, softening on the finish with hints of ripe tropical fruit. A point of interest is another nearby village, named Chardonnay. The presence of a village bearing the same name as the world’s most famous grape has led some to speculate that the Macon may somehow be the birthplace of Chardonnay!
